You may have heard that Google has now branched out further. As a search engine that thrives on providing the most relevant results to its users, the web giant has now stretched out to make users most aware of results not only on the right topic, but those that are available in the right area.
'Google Local Search' has officially been moved out of Google Labs and is now in its' beta stage, for all to see. Many people have started using it, with varying results.
The issue that I want to tackle, however, lies in the following question: What does this mean for webmasters and SEO technicians?
Moving Google into an area-specific algorithm creates new issues for businesses trying to push their brand names. Whilst SEO is currently done on a very national level (or global level), this emphasis is now expected to shift in several market sectors.
